• All Oil & Gas Assignments, Liens and various Declarations, will be indexed alphabetically and will not be indexed geographically.
• Various Affidavits including but not limited to Affidavits of Heirship and Probates prior to January 1, 1999, should be searched at the Porter Abstract & Title Company plant.
• RE: COURTHOUSE SEARCHES:
• Any search of the records located at the Hood County Clerks office for Probates should include a query of the deceased by the first name as grantee.
• All plat recordings are indexed under Vital Statistic Records, Hood County, Texas.

There are Two Databases

I. "Porter's Virtual Plant" - Contains all the data that is on file at Porter Abstracts Plant: Cards, Books, Fiche, and Electronic Images from the Courthouse.

II. VPI - Allows the user to view only the images for a Volume and Page click the "VPI" button which means "Volume and Page Index".
